Very disappointing experience – not suitable for Black hair I visited this salon for the first time and unfortunately had a really bad experience. It was clear that they don’t know how to handle Black hair properly. When my hair was washed, they only used shampoo once, even though I clearly said I had product in my hair. As a result, my hair didn’t feel clean at all. During blow-drying, the heat was far too high — my hair felt burnt, and by the time I got home it had already become very frizzy. I was also very uncomfortable during the appointment and even had to ask for water myself because of the heat and how overwhelming everything felt. On top of that, I was charged 33% more than the original price because my hair is curly, which feels unfair and excessive given the poor quality of the service. Overall, this is not a place I would recommend for Black hair. The service did not match the price, and I left feeling disappointed. I won’t be returning.

Abby did my haircut, and I am so happy with the result! She was incredibly friendly, professional, and very skilled. Abby really listened to my concerns and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. She also gave me some great advice on hair care for my hair type. I couldn’t be happier with the result and would definitely recommend Abby!

Left feeling awkward and disappointed as a new client. Booked a hair appointment with Demi as I had seen some of their portfolio, and liked the results. Upon arrival, Demi was still finishing another client and didn’t get to me until about 15 minutes after the booked time (this was fine as I had set aside an hour and a half for my wash, cut & blow dry appointment). After the appointment started, instead of asking me whether I would like a treatment on my hair, Demi just straight up asked which treatment I would like, which made me believe it was inclusive as part of the hair wash service, only for no charge to be mentioned until AFTER the appointment was done. After already paying £62 for my appointment, the treatment that was recommended was another £30 on top, leaving me way over budget of what I was prepared to pay for any haircut. Had I known this was extra, I would have politely declined (which not positioning like “no” was even an option in the first place, makes it feel more embarrassing and looking cheap). I felt taken advantage of as a new client that was naive to all the services offered. Not to mention Demi kept stopping for a general chat with others sat in the salon along with multitasking appointments, which kept leaving me alone for minutes at a time. This brought my appointment time up to almost 2 hours for just a haircut and making me miss a work appointment that I set plenty of time aside for. Just really unprofessional from your most expensive stylist. I have emailed twice, hoping to resolve the matter by explaining my experience and then asking if I could get a refund for the hair treatment, and haven’t had a single response, hence why I am leaving this review. I am only giving the extra star simply for the haircut itself, but the price and service I experienced was not worth it.

I ended up arriving early and after a few minutes they had me sat in a chair with some tea. I had express Japanese head spa cut and style, Lera did my head spa and Demi did my cut, they were both super welcoming and friendly. My phone died and Lera found me a charger. Demi gave me a birthday treat and some great recommendations but wasn't pushy at all, it's been two days of damp weather and my hairs still silky and straight. I'm already booked to go back.

I’m not from the area, so I just googled a salon nearby and called spontaneously for a wash and blow dry. They managed to fit me in the same day and honestly, I didn’t have any particular expectations. But wow 🌟- Demi completely blew me away. She instantly understood what I wanted and really listened to me and paid great attention to my preferences. She delivered beyond anything I imagined! The result was one of the most beautiful blow dries I’ve ever had, so bouncy, smooth and full of volume! This was an absolute 10 out of 10 experience and exceptional service. Thank you again so so much, Demi. I’m beyond happy I ended up in your chair. If I ever come back to Birmingham, I’ll definitely visit you again! 💕
