I recently visited Greenland Salon for the first time, and I honestly was not disappointed at all. From the moment I first contacted Sahar, she was welcoming, professional, and very quick to respond. She kept me informed and managed to book me in within just two days, which I really appreciated. When I arrived for my appointment, I immediately felt comfortable and well looked after. Whenever Sahar noticed that I looked uncomfortable or unsure, she would straight away ask if I was okay and make sure I was comfortable. That level of care and attention really stood out throughout my visit. She continuously offered tea, coffee, and refreshments, and even brought out a beautiful fruit platter. It truly felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just a salon appointment. As a hijabi, finding a salon where you feel fully comfortable can be difficult, but Sahar created such a warm, respectful, and safe environment from start to finish. I would have loved to show how amazing my hair turned out, but as a hijabi unfortunately the results can’t be shown. I was also really impressed with how accommodating she was. During my hair appointment, I mentioned that I would also like my nails done. Even though a staff member had already finished for the day, Sahar kindly arranged for her to return so I could have my nails done while my hair treatment was still in progress. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The service, atmosphere, professionalism, and kindness were all exceptional. My first visit exceeded all expectations, and I wasn’t disappointed for a single moment. This salon truly feels like a hidden gem , a beautiful spot that deserves so much more recognition for the level of care and service it provides. Women supporting women is so important, and I truly believe Sahar deserves every success. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend Greenland Salon to others. - Ella

It was my first time in this salon and I had a great experience and time. Sahar was brilliant, kind and was always checking on me, if I want a coffee or anything else.I have done full head highlights and the result was very nice. Thank you!

I booked a BALAYAGE through treatwell for the first time at this hair salon. Upset, dissatisfied and disappointed is an understatement. The colour chart is what I provided and the images of my hair is what the stylist sahar did. When I arrived she made me sign a waiver as I haven’t had a patch test before. Her immediate greeting to me was “I was meant to call you to book to patch test” … so I have no idea why I wasn’t contacted then?? I live far so I was happy to sign the waiver as I made a journey to come and get my hair done. It’s funny because I can see from her reviews to another customer who had a balayage the customer argued she didn’t have a patch test done into what the stylist responded to that review “balayage doesn’t need a patch test as it doesn’t reach your scalp” so I’m confused as to why I was asked to sign a waiver as ONE of my issues was she gave me highlights and not what I paid for which was a balayage. If you take a look at my pictures we discussed what was achievable for my hair and what wasn’t , I have black hair dye over 2 years ago which she agreed would blend out and I am able to have my desired hair as I wanted it dark brown tones anyway. In all honesty and respectfully i feel like the colour chart is handed to you so you can flick through whilst she can sit around and have her breakfast because in addition she said 10 mins when I arrived I ended up waiting 50 mins before being seated. Also to clarify nowhere on the booking site or her website does it state long hair is an extra charge nonetheless I was happy to pay in return of getting what I pay for! The images speak for themselves on what damage she has caused to my hair. I tried to reach out instead of being warm and accommodating she shifted blame. I felt very uncomfortable in the salon when I initially mentioned I wasn’t happy due to her immediate reaction of seeming offended I wasn’t happy with her work. I paid for toner I can’t even say a toner was applied from the colour of my hair- she offered I make a journey back with a discounted toner. No thankyou! Her work is not reflected in what she charges and that is absolutely not fair. The whole booking process to the arriving to the atmosphere to the response on if you are not happy with her work in the slightest is little to the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Till this day I am waiting on a response back from this lady but she chooses to ignore.

I had a terrible experience and left the salon in tears—twice. I first went in for a hair consultation, where I had to wait 30 minutes past my booked time to be seen. I wear a hijab, which was discussed beforehand, and I was assured this would be accommodated. However, the stylist allowed a male family friend into the room while my hair was uncovered and showed no care or apology when this happened. On the day of my appointment, there was a small dog running around the salon, which felt very unhygienic, especially as the staff were constantly petting it. I spent over six hours in the salon, only to leave completely devastated. My hair was over-bleached, which can lead to long-term damage, and my concerns were completely dismissed. I had clearly asked for cool tones rather than warm ones, yet she proceeded to bleach around 75% of my hair grey from the roots, while the roots themselves turned orange. I messaged her that night, and she booked me in two days later, saying she would darken my hair with toner. The appointment took much longer than she said it would, making me late for work. The toner barely darkened my hair and did not match what we discussed even after using the colour chart. Had this result not been achievable, I would have appreciated her honesty. Despite this, I was still made to pay for the toner ontop of the orginal treatment and was even accused of lying. I later booked an appointment with a much more experienced stylist, who managed to darken my hair in one session. There was no accountability taken at any point. I would highly not recommend this salon.
